The district of Parry Sound is a new area for me. I thought I would expand my collecting interests from just Muskoka to include this region as well. I am still in the process of getting information on the postal history of this area.

Parry Sound is located to the west of the county of Muskoka. We are almost one and the same. My mother spent a short time there as a child. Very little has been done on the study of the Parry Sound district post offices. This area has proven to be quite a challenge just like the Muskoka region. Many post office covers are hard to obtain. Like Muskoka, this area is also a tourist region. The Landscape is basically the same as here. Lots of lakes, forests, resorts and rivers here to explore.
