St. Patrick's Church, Kearney

O glorious St. Patrick,

Jesus' servant and friend, the Church honours you and universally invokes you as the Patron Saint of Ireland.

Pray for us in our hour of need.  With all our hearts we implore you to intercede with Jesus to bring peace in this world.  Teach us to forgive and love our enemies.

We implore you, Jesus for the grace to overcome our particular difficulties and those of all St. Patrick's parishioners and friends.  At the end of our days, Jesus give us the privilege to be with you and St. Patrick eternally.

St. Patrick, pray for us.

Lord Jesus, hear our prayers.

Amen.

This is the first postcard that I purchased to start my collection on this topic.  St. Patrick's is over a hundred years of age and is designated as a National Heritage Site by the Canadian Government.  It is constructed of stone and is an absolutely beautiful building.  I am including several pictures of the main architectural points of the Church which I hope you enjoy.

Here is a view taken from the back of the Church looking forwards to the Sanctuary, the Tabernacle is on the left.  I think you can see the hand pounded tin ceiling.

This is a closer view of the Sanctuary with it's lovely stained glass windows.  I especially love the round window showing the Holy Spirit as a dove just over the cross.
