The Muskoka region is rich in postal history. There have been as many as 225 post offices in the region. Now, with all of the scaling down that we are seeing, there is about 20 to 25 post offices left. Some of these offices were less than a mile apart from another existing post office. Some of these offices are or were in existence for quite some time. Sadly, some were only around for a few months. Needless to say, these are the rare ones to find. On this page and the ones to follow, I will attempt to show you some of the covers originating from some of the offices.

Like any other area of study, you will come across advert covers and covers with very fancy or special cancels.
